Rite Choice Market in Crofton will permanently close on January 16, according to an announcement from the Schlabach family, owners of the locally operated grocery store.

The family took to Facebook Thursday to thank the community for its support since the store opened in September 2017, saying Rite Choice Market became more than a business—it was a place to build friendships and serve local families through good times and difficult ones.

A clearance sale begins Monday, January 5, with deep discounts on all items. The store will be closed January 6 in observance of Old Christmas.

During the final weeks, hours will be Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Schlabach family—Ray, Maria, Gwen, and Shawn—expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve Crofton and surrounding areas, saying they will deeply miss the community as they move on to their next chapter.
