City Council Amends Legacy Programs

Housing incentives that have for the last twenty years been solely for the inner-city neighborhoods could be available city-wide. Hopkinsville City Council met Tuesday night to discuss changes to the current housing rehabilitation programs as recommended by a committee chaired by Amy Craig.

Community Development Services Assistant Director, Holly Boggess, who oversees the Legacy Program says the changes to the rental program will help residents.

In other business, City Council approved the following appointments: Bettie Esters and Katherine Latham to the Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) until December 31, 2029; Martha Argotte and Todd Morris to the Hopkinsville-Christian County Conference Center Corporation Board until January 31, 2030; Katherine Demps and Diane Turner to the Renaissance Design Review Board until October 31, 2029; Natalie Adams to the Hopkinsville Solid Waste Enterprise Board to fill the unexpired term of Crissy Fletcher through June 30, 2028; and Steve Wade to the County Board of Assessment Appeals until December 31, 2028.
