
A Clarksville man and woman were charged with drug possession after a request to check their welfare on West 7th Street on Saturday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to check on 23-year-old Alyssa McWherter, who was pumping gas and appeared to be under the influence of some kind of substance.
She was found to have a suspended license, and after a search, Police say suspected meth, along with drug paraphernalia, were found
McWherter and her passenger, 28-year-old Hunter Herrell, were both arrested.
McWherter was charged with no operator’s license, DUI, and possession of meth third or more offenses. Herrell was charged with possession of meth.
