The Christian County Justice Center will be closed on Monday as Kentucky braces for a major winter storm.

Christian County Chief Circuit Judge John Atkins announced the closure ahead of forecasted heavy snow and “brutally cold” temperatures that are expected to make travel hazardous across the region.

Judge Atkins added that Circuit Court Clerk Paige Parker’s office is sending out notices to those who had court cases scheduled for Monday.

Judge Atkins advised individuals with scheduled appearances for Monday morning to contact their legal counsel for further guidance and updated court dates.

He added they will wait until Monday to make a call about cases for Tuesday.
