Alton Dale Yoder, age 88 years, 5 months, and 15 days, passed away on January 26, 2026, at the home of his son, Orla Yoder, in Crofton, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Crofton Amish Church East District with minister Ray Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton is assisting with the arrangements.
Born on August 11, 1937, in Kalona, Iowa, to Edward G. Yoder and Anna Ropp. On December 18, 1958, he married Susie A. Bontrager in Kalona, Iowa. In January of 1983, they moved to Crofton, Kentucky.
Alton is survived by one son, Orla James (Susanna) Yoder of Crofton, KY, and one daughter, Anna Fern (Melvin) Kauffman of Crofton, KY. Eight grandchildren: Kenneth (Sarah) Kauffman, Emily (Lester) Gascho, Marlin (Wanita) Kauffman, Melissa (Justin) Jantzi, Lisa (Jared) Miller, Ruth Ann Yoder, Charity Yoder, Noah Yoder. Four great-grandchildren: Josiah, Logan, Darla, and Alex Kauffman. One brother, Marvin (Elizabeth) Yoder.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Yoder, his parents Edward and Anna Yoder, and one granddaughter, Anita Kauffman.
