Katherine Bronaugh, 69, Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Hopkinsville, KY.
Katherine, the daughter of the late Edward Hardy Bowman and Sally Mae Jones Bowman, was born on August 15, 1956, in Hopkinsville, KY.
Katherine was a member of Edgefield Baptist Church, serving on the culinary committee, as a bus driver, on the Mother’s board, as a choir member, and on the finance committee. She was a self-employed caregiver. She loved shopping, traveling, reading, cooking, and fishing. She also loved watching movies, eating, and laughing. Katherine was a member of Circle 5; She served as the assistant secretary. She loved participating in Senior games.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Howard Davie, Peter Davie, Leroy Davie, James Bowman, David Bowman, and Clarence Bowman, and by her sister Diana Gray.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Robert Bronaugh; children, Timothy Bronaugh, Jacqueline Bronaugh Burris; siblings, Ollie Herring, Gary Bowman, Sr.; grandchildren, Tedrick Bronaugh, Kourtney Burris, Markee Powell, Anthony Burris, Jacquez Burris, Alexis Burris; one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 7, 2026, at noon at the Edgefield Baptist Church in Pembroke.
Visitation will begin Saturday morning at 11:00 at the church.
