A Louisville woman was charged with drug possession on North Main Street in Hopkinsville on Wednesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 68-year-old Barbara Jennings, who was told to leave the parking lot by the business.

She was reportedly found in a truck talking with the owner of the truck and appeared to be under the influence of some kind of substance.

Police say she asked the man for money, stating she wanted to go see her granddaughter, then returned and asked again for more while warming up in the truck.

After a search of her belongings, police say she had suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Jennings was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, public intoxication, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
