An old building located near the state line on South Road in Trigg County was destroyed in a fire Saturday night.
Linton Fire Department Chief Jason Porter says the structure was abandoned, he added around 10 pm they were called for the structure being fully engulfed and flames.
Porter says they were able to keep the fire from spreading to the woods but the home was already gone with only pieces of metal left.
No one was injured while extinguishing the blaze. Firefighters were assisted by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office.
