Hopkinsville is deciding the fate of the water park, which is in need of major repairs to open back up to the public.
At a town hall Wednesday night, the room may have been full of residents and city officials, but only a handful voiced opinions on Bluegrass Splash, and those were split.
Former City Councilman Larry Radford was the first to address the issue.

Other ideas floated were a skating rink, a location similar to Clarksville’s City Forum, and selling the facility to utilize the funds elsewhere. Even those who were opposed to the splash park brought up the need for a public pool, like Wynn Radford.
