Walter “Butch” Camplin, age 59, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Born on October 31, 1966, in Hopkinsville, he was the son of the late Pete Camplin and the late Rachel Blankenship Brown.
Walter, known as “Butch” to his family and friends, was an employee at Hopkinsville Elevator Co., where he enjoyed working for over 20 years.
He enjoyed fishing, watching his favorite television shows, and spending time with his grandkids who loved him as “Grandpa Butch.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Russell Camplin; his daughter, Stephanie Camplin of Russellville, Kentucky; stepchildren, Joshua Taylor of Indiana, Lindsey Taylor of Hopkinsville, and Sara Wallace-Joines of Lewisburg, Kentucky; his sisters, Belinda Choate and Shelly Cannon, both of Hopkinsville; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
There will be no services at this time.
