Six Women Celebrate Recovery at 11th Annual Grace & Mercy Graduation

Six women were celebrated at Grace & Mercy’s annual graduation ceremony at New Work Fellowship, each with a story of recovery and restoration.

Board Chair Paula Halcomb called it a powerful night.

click to download audioThe graduation also serves as the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year. Executive Director and Founder Joanna Mack says the goal is simple.

click to download audioShe says donations can be designated for specific needs, including the completion of the Her Legacy House, which will provide transitional apartments for graduates.

But the most powerful moments of the night came from the women themselves.

Michelle White says this was her third graduation with Grace & Mercy.

click to download audioBy the end of the evening, the organization had raised $140,000 toward its $200,000 goal, with leaders saying the remaining funds will help sustain programming and expand housing opportunities for future graduates.
