The overhaul included a full interior redesign, along with new lighting, flooring and plumbing systems. Crews also installed a high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning system aimed at improving energy performance and indoor comfort.
Safety improvements were a key component of the renovation. Upgrades include an improved fire alarm system and enhanced force protection measures intended to strengthen security at the facility.

The $13.6 million renovation project brings the facility into alignment with the current CDC design guide to ensure a high-quality developmental environment for the children of service members.

Officials said the project brings the child development center up to current Army standards, creating a modern and secure environment for children of service members.
They added that reliable, high-quality childcare plays a critical role in supporting military families and contributes to overall mission readiness by allowing soldiers to focus on their duties knowing their children are in a safe and updated facility.
