Access to Fort Campbell May Take Longer Than Normal

Access to Fort Campbell may take longer than usual as the installation increases security measures in response to heightened global tensions involving Iran.

Officials at Fort Campbell said individuals entering the post through Access Control Points, commonly known as gates, could experience longer wait times as security personnel conduct additional checks.

The measures are part of routine force-protection procedures used at U.S. military installations during periods of heightened international concern. Military bases across the country often increase security levels and inspections when global conflicts or threats involving the United States or its allies intensify.

Fort Campbell officials said the steps are intended to maintain readiness and ensure the safety of service members, civilian employees, and families who live and work on the installation.

Drivers entering the post are encouraged to allow additional travel time and anticipate possible delays at the gates.
