A Gracey man was charged after a burglary on Old Hopkinsville Road in Trigg County on Wednesday morning.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called for a burglary in progress with someone using a trailer attached to a truck to remove a Kawasaki Mule 4010, cedar posts, a fuel tank, and other items from a barn.
A witness was able to take pictures of the suspect, who deputies say was later identified as 51-year-old John Hughes.
Hughes reportedly got stuck in the mud in the field, detached the trailer, and fled in the truck.
He was located at his home on Buffalo Road and charged with third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, driving on a DUI-suspended license, and no insurance.
