Over 4,000 Eggs Await the Kids at Saturday’s Cadiz Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt

The Cadiz Lions Club will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday in downtown Cadiz, continuing a tradition that dates back nearly 60 years.

The Easter Bunny will be on hand for pictures at noon, with the actual hunt to begin at 1:00. Marsha Pater with the Lions Club says children up to 10 years of age are welcome to hunt eggs.

click to download audioWhile the community’s churches and schools held Easter egg hunts, the Cadiz Lions Club is believed to have gotten involved in the late 1960s, with over 3,000 eggs hidden. Pater says a few more eggs will be hidden on Saturday.
