A rollover crash on Interstate 24 in Christian County sent a Murray man to the hospital on March 19th.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say at 10:41 pm, an SUV driven by 54-year-old Jay Ramage was westbound at the 75-mile marker when it collided with the back of a tractor-trailer driven by 42-year-old Pedro Petit of Port St. Lucie, Florida, then ran off the road, overturned, trapping Ramage inside.
Ramage was extricated by Christian County Rescue and then flown to a Nashville hospital due to his injuries.
Ramage reportedly told law enforcement he dropped his drink and picked it up, then noticed the truck, but it was too late.
The Square Deal Fire Department, Hopkinsville EMS, and Christian County Rescue assisted deputies.
