A Russellville man was charged with trafficking drugs in Hopkinsville after a traffic stop on South Campbell Street on Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Timmy Christmas for a turn signal violation, and during the stop, the female passenger gave consent to search her.
She was reportedly found to have suspected meth that she says Christmas through over to her when the officers turned on their lights.
Police say neither Christmas nor the female passenger would take ownership of the drugs.
Christmas was arrested and charged with failure to or improper signal, license to be in possession, tampering with physical evidence, and trafficking meth.
