Janice Tyler Felton, age 74, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in Cadiz
She was born on July 8, 1951, in Confederate, Lyon County, Kentucky, to Willard Tyler and Barbara Nelums Tyler.
A 1969 graduate of Trigg County High School, Janice went on to pursue a career at Fort Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Hospital, where she dedicated over 30 years of service in the treasury department.
Janice was a longtime member of Hurricane Baptist Church. She loved collecting flamingos, reading, shopping, and traveling, especially to Florida, where she spent winters as a snowbird in the comfort of her motor home. In her younger years, she also enjoyed photography and first began her fascination with Star Trek, becoming a lifetime “Trekkie.” Most of all, Janice loved her role as “Grammy” to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James Tyler, and her daughter, April Dawn Terrell.
Janice is survived by her husband, Mike Felton of Cadiz; her daughters, Amanda Adams (James, III) of Cadiz and Cally Felker (Keith) of La Grange, Kentucky; her stepdaughter, Virginia Maltey (Marc) of O’Fallon, Illinois; seven grandchildren: Chloe Adams, Tyler Adams, Elijah Felker, Charlotte Felker, Jonathan Anderson, Alyssa Maltey, and Cassie Maltey; and her niece, Sherry Walker (Lowell) of Cadiz.
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 6, 2026, with Rev. Norman Cotton officiating. Burial will follow in Marvin Oliver Cemetery.
Visitation will precede the service from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of 1:00 PM.
