A Hopkinsville man was charged with Indecent exposure at a park on East 2nd Street in Hopkinsville on Monday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 51-year-old Derrick Poole got up from a table at the house pavilion and stood next to a tree and relieved himself in front of several people, including juveniles.

Witnesses stated someone at one of the tables got up and “took care of it,” but left before law enforcement arrived.

Police say Poole was intoxicated, his eye was swollen shut, and he had blood on his face, nose, and hoodie. An ambulance was called and took him to the hospital.

Poole was cited to court for first-degree indecent exposure and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
