
A wreck on US 68 near B White Road in Todd County sent an Elkton man to the hospital on Sunday afternoon.
Elkton Police say at 3:56 pm, a car was westbound when it ran off the road into the median, then cut back across the westbound lanes and ran into a ditch.
The driver had some kind of leg injury and was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment, but when he arrived, he reportedly walked off.
Hopkinsville Police say they located the driver, identified as 50-year-old William Jones, and arrested him after a report of him causing a disturbance at the hospital and being under the influence of some kind of substance.
His injuries to his leg were reportedly found to have been a dog bite and he was checked out at the hospital before being taken to the jail on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
