A Clarksville woman was charged with DUI with children in the vehicle on Segler Drive in Oak Grove on Saturday night.

Oak Grove Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Cierra Simpson due to her taillight not working and could smell the faint odor of burnt marijuana.

Two children were reportedly in the vehicle, one in a booster seat and the other lying down in the backseat unbuckled.

Police say she had a suspended license, no valid insurance, and a warrant out of McCracken County for bail jumping. 10 ecstasy pills and marijuana were reportedly found in her possession.

Police say the children were released to the grandparents. Simpson was arrested for no tail lamps, DUI, operating on a suspended or revoked license, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
