Celeste Richardson De Colon, age 88, of Oak Grove, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehab due to natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Celeste was born in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic, on October 11, 1937, the daughter of the late Santiago Richardson and Saturnina Small de Jacobo. She was a Christian woman and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bienvenido Colon Rosa, and her three sisters.
Survivors include her son, Ernesto Heriberto Sanchez Richardson and wife Cermen D. De La Cruz Sanchez of Mount Sidney, VA; her daughters, Ana L. Sanchez of Hopkinsville, Janett M. Garcia and her husband Gino of Oak Grove, KY, Helen E. Rosado and her husband David of Hopkinsville; her two brothers, Ignancio Richardson and Santiago Richardson; her seven grandchildren, Ernesto Alexander Sanchez De La Cruz, Christian Ricardo Sanchez De La Cruz, Rachel E. Rosado, Stephanie M. Rosado, Michael Hernandez, Bridgett Garcia, and Natasha Garcia; and her seven great grandchildren.
