Roger D. Pool, age 77, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at his home from natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Friday, May 8, 2026, with Bro. Daryl Crawford officiating and burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home that morning from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Roger was born in Trigg County, KY, on August 22, 1948, the son of the late Paul D. and Mary Jospehine Davis Pool. Roger was a kind, giving Christian man loved by so many. He retired from HES after working 44 years. He loved the Western KY State Fair and served as a board member for many years.
Survivors include his wife Diane Rogers May Pool of Hopkinsville; his stepdaughter, Kim (Larry) Blevins of Louisville; his step grandchildren, Taylor Blevins and Madison Blevins; his step great grandchild, Kira Blevins; his sister, Paulette (Phil) Keller of Hopkinsville; his aunt, Dixie Bush Davis of Cadiz, KY; his two nephews, Jeff Keller and Scott Pool both of Hopkinsville; his brother-in-law, Jerry (Esther) Vowell of Ohio; and his extended family, Diane MacTavish, Dawn Pierce, Lance (Sarah) MacTavish, and Chris Patterson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Christian County Humane Society or Max’s Hope Pet Rescue.
