Several fire departments were called to help extinguish a large house fire on Harmony Grove Road in Christian County on Saturday morning.
Westside Fire Department Chief Mike Wilson says they were called for smoke coming from the home that was listed for sale and currently vacant.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say when they arrived, they found a fire in a bedroom and the exterior door damaged.
Wilson says the home has extensive fire damage to one room in the attic with the rest of the home suffering water damage.
Wilson says state fire investigators have been called to help determine the cause of the fire.
Firefighters from Square Deal, Gracey, and Highland were all called to help with extinguishing the blaze. The home is located at the 3900 block of Harmony Grove Road.
