The Christian County Chamber of Commerce will host the fifth annual LeaderCast leadership conference in Hopkinsville on May 28, bringing nationally recognized leadership training and local networking opportunities to community and business leaders across the region.
This year’s event will be held at the new Hopkinsville Fire Department Station 5 and will feature leadership presentations simulcast from a national live event in Kansas City, Missouri.
LeaderCast is part of a national leadership development organization that provides leadership conferences, training resources and professional development programming to communities and organizations throughout the country.
Chamber representatives say the local event is designed for business leaders, nonprofit organizations, educators, entrepreneurs, managers and civic leaders seeking professional and personal leadership growth.
Chandler Ladd with the Christian County Chamber of Commerce said organizers are excited to continue growing the event in Hopkinsville.
“We are hosting our fifth LeaderCast at the Christian County Chamber of Commerce on May 28th,” Ladd said. “We’re very excited. We’re going to host it at the new Hopkinsville Fire Department Station 5.”
Ladd said the event will include networking opportunities, lunch and interactive programming throughout the day.
“Beautiful location,” Ladd said. “We’ll host lunch and have all sorts of different things going on that day.”
According to organizers, the conference is intended to provide more than traditional lecture-style presentations by encouraging interaction and collaboration among attendees.
Martha Steil of United Southern Bank, the title sponsor for the event, said LeaderCast creates opportunities for both leadership development and community connections.
“Well, LeaderCast is just an opportunity not just to network but to learn from various well-known people that share tidbits of what it takes to be a true leader,” Steil said. “And not just professionally but also personally.”
Steil added that the conference includes hands-on activities that encourage participants to connect with others from throughout the community.
LeaderCast programming is broadcast from a live national conference held in Kansas City and shared with participating communities nationwide. Ladd said the Hopkinsville event allows local attendees to experience nationally recognized speakers and leadership training without traveling out of state.
Organizers say the event also offers continuing education opportunities, including learning credits for human resources professionals and related fields.
Tickets are $75 each, and group discounts are available.
“You register at christiancountychamber.com,” Ladd said. “Tickets are $75 a piece. We do offer a group rate discount.”
