Charles Ellis, 70, of Hopkinsville

A memorial service for 70-year-old Charles Ellis, of Hopkinsville, 1 PM Saturday, December 21, at Highland Presbyterian Church in Hopkinsville.

Visitation will be from 11 AM until the service hour at the church.

Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include:
Wife, Cindy Sanders Ellis, of Hopkinsville;
Son, Chip Ellis, of Hopkinsville;
Daughter, Jennifer Bell (Robert), of Knoxville, Tennessee;
Brother, David Ellis (Jean), of Hopkinsville;
Three grandsons and two great-grandchildren.

Rev. Archie Fugate is officiating.

He died at 5:12 PM, Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at his home in Hopkinsville.

He was born on June 11, 1954, in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, to the late Alpha C. and Wanda Lee Taylor Ellis.

He was the former owner and operator of Christian County Door and Glass and a member of Highland Presbyterian Church.

A man of many interests, he was a 60’s and 70’s rock enthusiast and a sports fanatic. He especially loved the thrill of NHRA drag racing or a quiet day at the lake fishing. He also spent countless hours working in his shop, where he could fix or create anything his hands set to work on.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Michael Ellis.
