A Cadiz man and woman were charged with trafficking drugs during a traffic stop in Hopkinsville Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle on Fort Campbell Boulevard driven by 37-year-old Evan Deloach for a seat belt violation.
During the stop, he reportedly gave consent to the officer to search the vehicle, and meth, a scale, several fentanyl test kits, Narcan, and a glass pipe, along with a gun loaded with hollow point ammunition was found in the vehicle and on Deloach and his passenger 40-year-old Rebecca Mathis.
They were both arrested and charged with trafficking meth, tampering with physical evidence, using restricted ammo during a felony, and failure to wear seat belts. Deloach was also charged with operating on a suspended or revoked license.
