Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges In Hopkinsville

A traffic stop on East 7th Street in Hopkinsville led to drug charges for a Christian County man Wednesday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 63-year-old Barry Colley for not wearing a seatbelt or using his turn signal.

During the stop, he reportedly tried to hide Marijuana behind the seat and was found to have two smoking devices.

Colley was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, failure to or improper signal, disregarding a stop sign, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
