A house fire on Daven Drive in Hopkinsville severely damaged a home on Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Firefighters say they were called for a fire in a closet, and when they arrived, smoke was coming from the roof of the home.
Everyone was able to get out of the home uninjured along with their pets. The fire started with an electrical issue with a light in the closet.
Firefighters say the fire was contained to the room and closet, but the whole home suffered extensive smoke damage.
The family will be temporarily displaced due to the damage.
