
A shooting on Younglove Street near Mechanic Street in Hopkinsville sent a man to the hospital and led to charges for an Oak Grove man Monday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 21-year-old Michelangelo Pierre provided an AK-47 and removed his license plate from his vehicle to help someone who fired several shots, hitting Donald Redd in the foot just before 6 pm.
Police were called to the area after 12 shots were reportedly fired, and found over 10 shell casings next to the road near Boyd Street
Redd was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment. After further investigation, Pierre was located at his Oak Grove home and charged with complicity to first-degree assault.
Police say more charges are pending.
