A teenager has died after being shot in an accidental shooting on Grapevine Road in Crofton on Friday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say after further investigation, it appears a 17-year-old was shot in the head when a gun accidentally went off after they returned from hunting.
The teenager was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health after trying to get a helicopter, but they could not fly due to the weather.
He was later taken to a Nashville hospital where he died from his injuries.
