Kenneth N. Calhoun, 66, of Cadiz, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
He was born on October 5, 1959, in Cadiz, to the late Cecil T. Calhoun, Sr., and Geneva Dawson Calhoun.
Kenneth dedicated much of his life as a farmhand for Vinson Farms, where he took much pride in his work and was always willing to lend a hand. Before that, he worked at Johnson Controls and was skilled as a mechanic, a lifelong hobby he enjoyed deeply, tinkering on anything that had a motor.
Kenneth was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, had a deep affection for animals, and loved his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece Dena Louise Babcock, nephews Christopher Hammond and Tom Kelly Hammond, great-nephew Dillion Cunningham, and brother-in-law David “Buck” Norfleet.
Kenneth is survived by his brothers: Cecil Calhoun, Jr. of Herndon, KY, Carl Calhoun (Cindy) of Cadiz, Joe Calhoun (Tana) of Carrollton, TX, Daniel Calhoun of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Neal Calhoun of Cadiz, as well as his sisters: Brenda Norfleet and Linda Kelley (Keith), both of Crofton, KY, and Martha Browning of Greenville, KY, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 12:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2026, with Bro. Charles Browning officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Church Cemetery.
Visitation will precede the service from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
