A traffic stop on Canton Street led to drug charges for an Alabama man and a Drakesboro woman Saturday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Jacerri Johnson after he was seen making a wide turn and due to his loud exhaust.
He reportedly appeared to be under the influence of some kind of substance and was found to have suspected marijuana and fentanyl hidden on his body.
Deputies say Johnson’s passenger, 21-year-old Trisha Arnold, was found to have suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin in her purse, along with some drugs hidden on her body.
After a field sobriety test, Johnson was arrested and charged with an inadequate silencer-muffler, DUI, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, and trafficking fentanyl.
Arnold was also arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, trafficking fentanyl, and heroin.
