Two Tennessee men were charged after fleeing from law enforcement in Oak Grove on Monday morning.
Oak Grove Police say they were called by Nashville law enforcement, who had used a helicopter to track a vehicle that had fled from them to Haley Street in Oak Grove.
When officers arrived, four individuals reportedly fled on foot, with two being apprehended: 24-year-old Bryce Hirkala of Adams and 20-year-old Lamero Bell of Clarksville.
Police say a handgun and a bag of marijuana were found along with marijuana in the pocket of Hirkala.
They were both charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, trafficking marijuana, and using restricted ammo during a felony – no shots. Hirkala was also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and public intoxication.
A list of charges the men will be facing in Tennessee has not been released.
