Bobby Boley, 87, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is assisting with arrangements.
A native of Todd County, KY, he was born March 28, 1938, the son of the late Alvie Boley and Lillian Cowan. He served his country in the United States Navy. After serving in the military, he came back to Kentucky to work as a licensed practical nurse at Western State Hospital.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed various hobbies, including stock car racing, camping, hunting, and fishing. His family lovingly recalls him being a “man of few words”; one can tell he found peace and solace enjoying the beauty and tranquility of the great outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Boley; his brother, Bill Boley; and his son, Russell Fowler.
He is survived by his daughter, Gwendolyn (Kermit) Rowe of Crofton, KY; his grandchildren, Brandi (James) Travers of Germany, Lindsey (Jacob) Mason of Hopkinsville, KY, Dalton Rowe of Hopkinsville, KY, and Bailey (Kessler) Queen of Hopkinsville, KY; and his seven great-grandchildren.
