Wanda Sue Wood Stevenson, 78, of Hopkinsville, died at 5:03 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026, at her son’s home, surrounded by her family.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Humphries officiating. Visitation will beon Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Princeton, KY, she was born July 27, 1947, the daughter of the late Aubrey Hay Wood and Henrietta Marie Mitchell Wood. Wanda Sue retired from the Christian County Board of Education and JCPenney’s Department Store. She was a member of Sinking Fork Baptist Church. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed shopping for good deals, playing dominoes, and going on lunch dates with friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Stevenson.
Survivors include her sons: Ronald R. (Jill) Colley of Cerulean, KY, and Kerry E. Colley of New York City, NY; her brothers: Wayne (Linda) Wood of Hopkinsville, KY, and Gary D. Wood of Madisonville. KY; her sister, Bernadette Crunk of Hopkinsville, KY; and her grandchildren: Clay (Kayleigh) Colley and Lilly Colley.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Sinking Fork Baptist Church.
