Gail Prescott Pryor, age 85, of Hopkinsville, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, at her home in Hopkinsville.
Born October 24, 1940, in Trigg County, she was the daughter of the late Robert B. Prescott and Nina Gray Prescott.
Gail worked for many years as a seamstress for Hopkinsville Clothing Factory, Elk Brand Manufacturing, and Flynn Enterprises.
She enjoyed reading and cross-stitching and was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan. Gail’s greatest joy came in the time that she spent with her family and relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Pryor, and a brother, Bobby Prescott.
She is survived by her son, Steven Mitchell (Angela) of Lebanon, Tennessee; daughter, Risa Patterson of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Erin Spicer (Jason), Justin Pruitt (Katy) and Tyler Pruitt (Mikaela); great grandchildren, Jeff Spicer, Avery Jane Pruitt, Peyton Elizabeth Pruitt and Palmer Lee Pruitt and a sister-in-law, Jewel Prescott of Cadiz, Kentucky.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, February 19, 2026. A funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 19, 2026, with the Rev. Justin Latham officiating. Burial will follow at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz.
