The Christian County School District will spend more than $8 million on new athletic fields at Christian County High School.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jason Wilson, along with Alliance Corporation representatives Tim Geegan and Kevin Hitchel, presented bids to the School Board Thursday night.
Among the items approved were the general trades, electrical, bleachers, foundation for and installation of the band tower, the gym floor finish, drainage for the fields, asphalt for the emergency vehicle access, and water and sewer services for the outbuildings.
The Board also approved purchasing backup power supplies for the building for $28,600, athletic training equipment for $19,600, appliances for student use for $55,300 from Baldwin Appliance, and bidding out the Gym Wall Graphics.
