A teenager was charged after she reportedly fled from law enforcement in Trigg County on Saturday afternoon.

Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they observed a vehicle passing other vehicles at a high rate of speed on Interstate 24 at exit 65 and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled.

The pursuit reportedly reached speeds of 120 mph before the 16-year-old driver stopped and was taken into custody on charges of improper passing, fleeing or evading police, following too close to another vehicle, reckless driving, and improper lane usage.

The teenager was released into the custody of her guardian.
