Ms. Sylvia McLaughlin (Hudson), age 91, formerly of Hopkinsville, passed away Monday, April 14, 2026, at Park Meadows Nursing Home in Clarksville, TN, of natural causes.
Ms. McLaughlin was born August 10, 1934, in Clifty, Kentucky. She retired from the restaurant business after owning and operating numerous establishments in Hopkinsville. She was a member of Cornell Chapel Church. Sylvia loved life and making others happy. She is preceded in death by her parents Arlett Francis and Cora Edwards Francis, two sons Charles Mike McLaughlin and Alan Dale McLaughlin, her daughter Cynthia Champion, two sisters Lee Johns and Nell Martin, two brothers Hershel Francis and Douglas Francies and a grandson Michael McLaughlin.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra McLaughlin of Hopkinsville, KY; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life at a later date.
