Ten leaders from across the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Kentucky service region have been selected for the inaugural Kentucky TVA Leadership Academy.

The program, led by the Tennessee Valley Authority, will take participants to sites across the region this summer to learn how TVA delivers reliable and affordable power, supports economic development, and manages the Tennessee River system for flood control, navigation, and recreation.

Officials say the academy is designed to build stronger connections among community leaders while offering a deeper understanding of TVA’s mission to serve 10 million people across the Tennessee Valley. The program will also focus on key issues including energy policy, grid modernization, sustainability, and regional infrastructure challenges.

Participants represent a range of sectors, including local government, education, business, and community organizations across western and south-central Kentucky.
