A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting his girlfriend on Talbert Drive on Saturday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for an unknown problem and found the door kicked in and a woman yelling that 40-year-old Justin Parker had assaulted her.
He reportedly assaulted her, put his hands around her neck, broke her phone, and would not let her leave.
He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, second-degree strangulation, and first-degree unlawful imprisonment.
