Today marked the opening day of the 38th annual Powwow at the Trail of Tears Commemorative Park in Hopkinsville, a gathering that honors Native American heritage and culture. It brings together tribal members, dancers, drummers, and visitors from across the continent to celebrate traditions through music, dance, and storytelling.
The powwow also serves as a reminder of the history tied to the Trail of Tears, while creating a space for education, reflection, and cultural exchange.
