Authorities have investigated a report of a home invasion on Lake Morris Road on April 16th that led to shots fired and have found it to have been false.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called by a teenager who told them he woke up to an odd noise in the home then grabbed a gun to search the house and was shot at by someone, leading him to return fire and causing the suspect to leave the scene.
Several shots were fired but after further investigation, deputies say the whole report was fake and didn’t happen how the teenager had described it.
The investigation has been handed over to the Christian County Court Designated Workers Office. Deputies have not released any information about what led to the bullet holes in the home.
