A proclamation was signed by several public officials declaring National Drinking Water Week at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center Friday morning.
Jeffers Bend Coordinator Charles Turner told the News Edge although we are signing the proclamation here today this is a national event.
Turner said they are very happy to have children at the event who will also learn about trees and water while at this event.
Jeffers Bend Environmental Center will also have several local students as guests to learn more about water in May.
