Trigg County Ham Festival Ready For Second Day

The Country Ham Show, the ham biscuit eating contest, country ham cooking demonstrations, and a concert by country music star Bryan White headline day two activities at the Trigg County Country Ham Festival.

A large crowd descended on downtown Cadiz Friday to enjoy a full list of ham festival activities and variety of food and fun.

Day two officially kicks Saturday morning at 10:00 at the Cadiz Renaissance Stage with the National Anthem and the opening prayer. Trigg County Tourism Director Beth Sumner says there is plenty of parking in downtown Cadiz.

Next door the The Way and Simple Blessings will combine efforts to prepare and sell Kentucky’s Largest Country Ham Biscuit. Slices of the biscuit with Broadbent Country Ham will be ready for purchase late Saturday morning.

The Trigg County Ham Biscuit Eating Contests returns for a third year with eleven constestants taking to Rennaissance Stage to see who can eat the most Ham Biscuits in 10 minutes. Tourism Director Beth Sumner says the event has become a nice fundraiser.

Saturday night the Trigg County Ham Festival will celebrate another successful run with a great concert.
