A Christian County Grand Jury returned several indictments recently in cases involving assault, burglary, theft, drug possession, and weapons charges, according to records released by the Christian Circuit Court.
Among the assault-related indictments, 31-year-old Michael Paxton, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges of first-degree strangulation, domestic violence, and fourth-degree assault. The indictment alleges Paxton impeded a woman’s breathing by applying pressure to her throat during a November 2025 incident, and also caused physical injury to another victim.
39-year-old Terrence Silvia, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, was indicted for second-degree assault and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Court records allege Silvia caused injury with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument during a January 2024 incident in Christian County, and also operated a vehicle without the owner’s consent.
24-year-old Kalob Slade, of Guthrie, was indicted for third-degree assault on a corrections employee. The charge alleges he caused physical injury to a deputy jailer at the Christian County Jail in December 2025.
In a burglary indictment, 22-year-old Christopher Jones of Hopkinsville was charged with second-degree burglary. The indictment alleges Jones unlawfully entered a residence in Hopkinsville in March with the intent to commit a crime.
36-year-old Tailer Smith, of Hopkinsville, was indicted for third-degree burglary, along with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and operating on a suspended or revoked license. The burglary charge alleges that Smith unlawfully entered or remained in a Walmart-owned building in January.
21-year-old Dejon Hardy, of Fort Campbell, was indicted for second-degree burglary and first-degree unlawful imprisonment. The indictment alleges Hardy unlawfully entered a residence in February 2025 with the intent to commit a crime and later restrained a victim under circumstances exposing that person to risk of serious physical injury.
In theft-related cases, 25-year-old Trejan Hillsbury of Hopkinsville was indicted for theft of an auto valued between $10,000 and $1 million and for first-degree criminal mischief. Court records allege Hillsbury took a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado in October 2021 and caused more than $500 in damage to another person’s property.
40-year-old Fernando Guzman, of Clarksville, was indicted for theft by unlawful taking or disposition, and shoplifting between $1,000 and $10,000. The indictment alleges Guzman unlawfully took nearly $2,480 worth of merchandise from Lowe’s between June and July of 2025.
In other indictments released Friday, 22-year-old Dequavion D. Guillemet, of Paducah, was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
44-year-old Teresa Hall, of Cadiz, was indicted on charges including meth possession, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI-drugs, and careless driving.
34-year-old Angel Howard, also of Cadiz, was indicted for second-offense meth possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
