Trigg County Grand Jury Returns Indictments

The March-April session of the Trigg County Grand Jury recently returned a series of indictments in Circuit Court, including several felony sex offense cases.

Among the sex offense indictments, 38-year-old Patrick Shawn Borum, also known as “Diddy,” of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was indicted on two counts of third-degree rape. The indictment alleges the offenses occurred between March and October of 2025 and involved a victim who was at least 10 years younger than Borum but at least 16 years old.

46-year-old Keith Wallace of Murray was indicted on a charge of first-degree rape. Court records allege the offense happened between January 2018 and January 2019 and involved a victim described as being incapable of consent because she was less than 12 years old.

And 34-year-old Zachary Howsmon of Cadiz was indicted on charges of first-degree sexual abuse and distribution of obscene matter to minors, first offense. The indictment alleges the offenses occurred between March 2021 and March 2024.

In other indictments, 43-year-old Marshall Turner of Cadiz was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia – firearm-enhanced, possession of marijuana, and complicity. His co-defendant, 47-year-old Crystal Smith, also of Cadiz, was indicted on the same charges. Both cases stem from an alleged incident on February 1st.

42-year-old Brandon Herring of Cadiz was indicted on first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with an alleged incident on March 6th.

38-year-old Jake Caudel of Cadiz was indicted on first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana tied to an alleged incident on December 20th of last year.

22-year-old Landen Finley of Cadiz was indicted in one case on second-degree burglary tied to an alleged incident on November 19th, and in a separate case of second-degree criminal abuse and complicity involving allegations from January.

Also indicted on second-degree criminal abuse and complicity was 25-year-old Shytricia Saez of Cadiz, in connection with the same alleged January abuse case.

33-year-old Bobby Smith of Cadiz was indicted on second-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, and fourth-degree assault stemming from an alleged incident on February 11th.

37-year-old Cyndi Hicks of Cadiz was indicted on multiple charges, including fourth-degree assault, attempted first-degree arson, first-degree wanton endangerment involving four counts, first-degree criminal mischief, and operating on a suspended or revoked license. Those charges stem from an alleged incident on December 26th of last year, when she tried to burn her house down with her children inside during a domestic dispute.

And 55-year-old Teresa Latham of Cadiz was indicted on a charge of theft over $1,000 in connection with an alleged incident between October 2023 and August 2025.
