A locally owned manufacturer is expanding in Todd County, with South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council announcing that Crofton Wood Products plans to invest nearly $1 million in upgrades and improvements at its Elkton facility.
According to a Kentucky Business Incentive application approved by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority, the expansion is expected to create between 10 and 15 new jobs.
Founded in 1993 and owned by Tyler Kirkman, Crofton Wood Products manufactures wood products for the interior design and framing industries. Kirkman says the investment will help the company meet growing customer demand while continuing to reinvest in the local community.
Arthur Green said the City of Elkton is excited to support the project, calling it another major investment and opportunity for local residents and businesses. He also thanked Governor Andy Beshear, the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, and regional partners for their support.
Todd Mansfield also praised the project, saying the expansion highlights the continued growth and success of the manufacturing sector in South Western Kentucky.
