A local golf event is teeing up to support mental health awareness and patient care in Hopkinsville.
Doug Hargrove, Community Services Coordinator with Western State Hospital, says they will host their Western State Open two-person golf scramble on Friday, May 15, at Western Hills Municipal Golf Course.
click to download audioThe day will begin with registration at 7 a.m., followed by an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Entry is $70 per person, which includes green fees, a cart, and lunch.
Organizers are also seeking sponsors, with multiple levels available ranging from par sponsorships to albatross packages, offering local businesses and supporters a chance to contribute to the cause.
Hargrove says the scramble is open to golfers of all skill levels and offers the community an opportunity to come together in support of mental health services in the region.
